Whether the weather is cold or hot
Whether you are young or not
Some people will promise you the world
When they don’t even have a pot
In this world all you have is YOU
And the Lord above it’s true
To depend on yourself alone
And the Lord is what you must do
Friends and Family will help
Quiet as it’s kept
Lean on them when you can
But play the hand that YOU were dealt
Things will get better before they get worse
Tighten up the belt, lock down that purse
Sacrifices will be made, things will be hard
