Do you know when it’s over?
Is there a feeling, a knowing of sorts that can’t be explained?
Is it when your brain takes over the thoughts that it knows your heart can’t handle?
Is there a right time to walk away from all that you know?
Will you know when that time is?
Will you know what avenues to take when the time arrives?
Will you be on your own or will family and friends be there FOR you and not judge you like the world does?
Will people understand how hard this is for you?
Will you be strong enough to do what you know needs to be done?
Can you handle it on your own?
Are you scared to be alone?
Will this be the last time you walk away?
Believe in yourself no matter what! It can take you further in life than other things can. The belief that any deeds can be fulfilled begins somewhere: either you believe in yourself or someone else believes in you. However, without YOU believing in yourself, nothing that you want or desire would be accomplished. Be who you say you are.. and say what you feel .. because those that matter, don't mind ... and those that mind, don't matter!

AIG – Returning $80 million
Do you believe that the Executives should be made to HAVE to return the money they received as bonuses? The same people who received the bonuses are the same people responsible for the destruction of the company. The government had just given the company $170 billion in bailout money and it seems as though they used this money to award themselves. The bonuses ranged from $1,000 to almost $6.5 million. New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said that AIG paid bonuses of $1 million or more to 73 employees, including 11 who no longer work there.
Last week the House passed a plan to tax 90 percent on bonuses paid to those employees of AIG whose income is more than $250,000. However Obama has disagreed with the tax bill.
So, do you believe that the Executives of AIG should have to return the money they received as bonuses? Should the contracts that they signed be taken into consideration?
These statements were taken from the AP –Associated Press:
“Chief Executive Edward Liddy expressed concern that the company may not be able to attract and retain talented employees if they believe their compensation is subject to adjustment by the Treasury.”
“About 400 employees and future employees in AIG's financial products division received bonuses. Documents provided by AIG to the Treasury Department said the awards ranged from $1,000 to nearly $6.5 million. Seven employees were to receive more than $3 million. Last week Cuomo said AIG paid bonuses of $1 million or more to 73 employees, including 11 who no longer work there.”

Old Navy Commercial... Racist???
I've heard several times that people believe that this commercial is racist… Do you? I have to admit that it bothered me a little ... What bothered me the most was the fact that they portrayed the husband of one of the other mannequins looking at the naked mannequin the obvious wife and mother to the other ones standing there? Well, YES, it bothered me momentarily and my next thought was, “Why does the black female mannequin have to be the one that is stripped of her clothes, left there to be ogled by the white husband and yes, even the dog had something to say… Those were my immediate reactions… After that passed, I was okay… I mean, I don’t shop at Old Navy already so they aren’t getting MY money, however they seem to be doing fine without it too. So… what are your thoughts? Did they go too far? Are we as viewers taking this to the next level when there is no need to react this way??

Vaction... Schmaycation....
Why does it seem like vacation is nothing but work... It feels as though I've been at work all week instead of on vacation... Yes, I've gotten things done, but I guess not what I wanted too.

Reality Not Yet Reached...
Have you ever just sat down, paper and pen, with nothing picked out to say and ended up with something spectacular? A dream of mine is to have a book published and it turn up on Oprah’s Book of the Month Club with the whole world wanting to know what was inside the cover. On the back, of course, it will be a black and white shot of me wearing something fabulous, clean cut and business like. I already have my pose picked out and what the background will be… Why do dreams seem so far fetched? A dream is only reality not yet reached.. That’s how I try to think of it anyway. What are your dreams? A fantasy is something totally different.. Leave that for another post! :0)

Letter with HIV Sent To Obama!!!
From Fox NewsFor the first time in a long time, I think I do not have any comments on this story at all...
A man from President Obama’s hometown of Chicago has been arrested for allegedly sending Obama and his staff envelopes containing HIV-infected blood, in the hopes of killing or harming them.
It’s only the second time ever that HIV-infected blood has been sent with malicious intent through the U.S. mail system, a spokesman for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service said.
In the weeks leading up to Obama’s inauguration, Saad Hussein, an Ethiopian refugee in his late 20’s, sent an envelope addressed to “Barack Obama” to offices of the Illinois government in Springfield, Ill., according to court documents. The envelope contained a series of unusual items, including a letter with reddish stains and an admission ticket for Obama’s election-night celebration in Chicago’s Grant Park. Court documents said Hussein, who takes drugs to treat a mental illness, later told FBI agents he is “very sick with HIV” and cut his fingers with a razor so he could bleed on the letter.
Hazmat teams were called in after the envelope was opened, and offices of the Illinois Department on Aging and the Department of Revenue were locked down for nearly two hours, locking 300 staffers in their offices, court documents said.
Hussein, with his brother acting as an interpreter, told FBI agents he was actually “an admirer” of Obama and was “seeking help from the government,” according to court documents. He also told them he was hoping to obtain tickets to the inaugural ceremonies in Washington, the documents said.
Days after sending the letter to Obama, Hussein allegedly placed two more letters in the mail, one addressed to “Emanuel,” an apparent reference to Obama’s current chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel. The two letters contained what appeared to be dried blood, the court documents said.

Octomom Argues W/Her Mom
Does this bother anyone else? How rude of her to not even listen to the person who has given up her life to care for her daughter and now 14 grandchildren. How embarrassing... She won't listen to reason.. She makes me sick... If she is so disrespectful to her own mother what kind of mother will she be?

Displaced Anger
Have you ever had displaced anger? Perfect example of this is today when my daughter asked if she can ride her bike. She hadn't washed the dishes like she was supposed to and there was obvious disagreement when I told her that she couldn't ride it. She even gave a huff noise and a roll of the eyes. I said, "I hope that the anger that you are showing right now is directed at yourself for not doing the dishes instead of at me for telling you that you can't ride your bike because of it." It was a statement, not a question. I've had several problems with this myself which is why I'm not totally surprised that she reacted that way. But still, I'm not going to be at the receiving end of a blow up if I'm not the cause. Comments?
Weave Stops Bullet!!
Yep, you read that right! Weave stops bullet! Lawd! Got to be more careful! She needs to thank her hair dresser and the guy for using such a pitiful gun that can't even penetrate a (badly done) weave. How embarrassing for her/us! I couldn't help but laugh, not that being shot in the head is in anyway funny, but c'mon!!! Anyway, comment if you want or wait until a more pressing story is posted... hahaha

Satire or Offensive?
I know I’m not the only one in the U.S. that sees something wrong with this and it really struck me this morning as I was watching the news that Americans really still think of black people like monkeys… What a sad thing… Even with a biracial president, we are still not as far as we should be. How embarrassing it is to live here sometimes… It’s no wonder that we Americans have such issues in this country if we can’t even get passed what is on the outside of people.. We’ll never reach deeper than that to figure out how people think, what’s in their minds, if we can never get passed the outside. The package someone is in does not make that person who they are. I guess with the hate that some people have, it does tend to have an influence if everything on the outside is constantly part of negative conversation.
The argument that was given this morning on the news was that the artist was trying to merge the killing of the monkey that I blogged about yesterday to the Stimulus Package. You and I both know that is not the truth. What in the hell does the monkey from yesterday’s post have to do with the Stimulus Package?
So I ask you your opinion on this… Satire or Offensive? You know my answer, what’s yours?

Potpourri
There’s a couple of things that have been on my mind lately that I will place all on one post.. Call it lazy or what have you, but this bizness has to get out of my system:
Solange vs. Nyquil and the winner is (insert drum roll here) NYQUIL! It has been reported that Solange Knowles (the OTHER Knowles sister) was hospitalized due to a Nyquil overdose. WHAT?! Nyquil PILLS no less! I didn’t even know Nyquil made pills – but whateva! Okay, how do you overdose on Nyquil? I think the girl will do anything to get her name in the headlines, won’t she?!
200 Pound Chimp MAULS Woman – Okay, yes that is what that headline said. Apparently, the chimp had been in both Coke and Old Navy commercials. A Famous Chimp – anywho it got out of its cage and the owner’s friend came over to assist her with coaxing it back home when the chimp began to attack the woman. The owner ran into the house, grabbed a knife and began stabbing the chimp in order to save the woman! The chimp was later shot dead by the po po. It was later mentioned the chimp had Lyme disease and the medications could’ve had an effect on the chimp. How about being caged up and finally set free again made him realize that FREE is what he should’ve been in the first place! I heard about this story on the radio this morning on the way in to work. People were calling in furious at the radio hosts for laughing at the situation. WHY would anyone have a 200 lb chimp or any wild animal as a pet in their home anyway?
Suge Knight’s Beat Downs – Wassup with Suge Knight and WHY does he keep getting his ass whopped? This time he sustained broken bones in his face. I’m still mad at him for Tupac being killed so maybe I’m partial to want to fight him myself….
Lady Kidnapped and Placed in Diaper – Okay, now you really think I’m trippin’! No, this is an actual story! The lady was kidnapped, held in handcuffs and placed in a diaper for 3 days! She ended up escaping, but when she was found she was only in a t-shirt, diaper and handcuffs! I’m glad she got away but geez!
A-Rod and his Steroids - so what?! Am I the only one who really does not care? I guess maybe I would if I was into baseball, but even when the NFL’ers are found out about their steroids use, I still do not care. Not really… How else do we think these men get this size and get this great? Not by eating Campbell’s Soup or whatever soup that Donovan McNabb was eating on those commercials… Didn’t help him either this year did it?!
Roland Burris and his Senate Seat (or not his seat?) – I’m tired of hearing about this man. Now things are coming out about him and Blagojevich’s associations that they had with one another… Did we really think that these too didn’t have any dealings prior to Blago asking him or appointing him to this seat? Puhleaze! He was not being honest when he didn’t admit to being asked by Blago’s brother to assist with raising money for Blago’s campaign NOR did he admit that he actually tried to raise money but stopped after he was unproductive… Now people are asking that he resign… Nooooo, really?!
Nadya Suleman, “OCTOMOM” - as people so lovingly call her! I guess I’m the only one bothered by this sick person? What just kills me is that she already had 6 children, living at home with her parents, with NO JOB PRIOR to her having 8 more! What in the world?! Back in the day when picking cotton and working the fields for food and building homes for shelter with a wagon and horse buggies – MAYBE then I could understand having all those kids, but I just don’t get it! With no job and no way to support her kids she didn’t need 1 – but 14?! Why is this acceptable? She said that she isn’t on welfare, HELLO – food stamps are welfare! She said that she will lean on her family and volunteers to assist her with the kids… Who would volunteer? Also, it’s blatantly obvious that she’s had plastic surgery… Why not admit it? She looks like a dumb ass for not admitting it especially with the before and after photos all over the place. I guess she didn’t want to look stupid on TV for having work done on her face when she has all these kids at home that could’ve used that money instead.. TOO LATE!
Am I all alone in how I feel about these things? Can’t be! Respond if I am or if I’m not!

Chris Breezy and Rih Rih
When I first heard this, I admit, I was sad because my oldest daughter LOVES Chris Breezy. Her room is covered in his posters and she has all his CD’s. (I think we even have the CD’s that he is “featured” on.) I didn’t want to be the first person to tell her the news about him being like so many other men – an abuser. Is that harsh? Maybe, but until we hear all the facts – I guess I won’t change it until then. In this country, we are SUPPOSED to be innocent until PROVEN guilty – but doesn’t that all go out the window when you “turn yourself in”? Are you admitting to the guilt or turning yourself in so that they don’t have to LOOK for you anymore? I’m prone to believe the first although it may not be true.
My friend Gloria sent me the link above with the video of Chris on Tyra explaining that he knows how to treat women because when he was younger, he saw his own mother being abused and didn’t want to treat other women this way. WTF happened then, Chris? I know this is an older video, but you aren’t that old yourself so it couldn’t have been taped THAT long ago!
This subject is sensitive to a lot of people, including myself. I wasn’t going to write about it at all, but just because situations are sensitive doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be discussed. I’ve heard several people say that he “seems so sweet” or “he wouldn’t hurt Rih Rih”. We don’t know these people! Just because we buy their CD’s and watch them on TV, we must remember that we only know the person they WANT us to know. We don’t know how these people truly live or how they really think until something like this happens.
I must say that I am happy that he DID turn himself in, because I would be horrified if he started to hide and run from this situation. At least he is trying to take responsibility for his actions, but to me that doesn’t change the fact of what he ALLEGEDLY did. Rih Rih’s face will need time to heal and so does the hearts of all the young girls who he broke.

4 Year Old Dies in Washing Machine
Kayley Ishii climbed into the front loading washing machine and “apparently” her 15 month old brother started the machine. What’s gets me the most is that they reported that the controls were “20 inches from the floor and the start switch was a simple push button.” Could a 15 month old cut that on? Kayley was in the machine for at least 2 minutes before her mother found her. It had already begun to tumble including being filled with water! The police ruled her death as accidental. You all know me, I’m a skeptic… For some reason, I don’t think this was accidental. Number One, I don’t see a 15 month old reaching a button that was 20 inches off the floor. She then goes on to say that she didn’t know why she would climb into the machine – didn’t know if they were playing or what… You mean to tell me that a 4 year old doesn’t know not to touch the washing machine? They should at least know that it isn’t a toy. I don’t know I’ve always been the type to believe that there is foul play involved when I hear of someone passing away in a weird way.
I feel sorry for Kayley – what a horrible way to leave this Earth.

JHud's Rendition of the National Anthem
If you were unable to see Jennifer Hudson's rendition of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl yesterday, GO STEELERS, then I've placed it here for your viewing pleasure:
People are already saying that her performance compares to Whitney Houston's from back in the day. Quite frankly, to me it doesn't compare at all! Despite her emotional roller coaster that she's been on recently, it doesn't compare. She put her heart and soul into that song. I've also heard that it was pre-recorded. That doesn't bother me either. There are several performers who lip synch their entire concerts so her lipsynching here, doesn't bother me in the least! Go Jennifer!
I guess I should mention the game here too. It was GREAT! The touchdown in the last 35 seconds of the game was acrobatic! It always amazes me how these men are able to control their bodies and thrust themselves into the air without a care in the world. How was Holmes (I think it was him) able to point those toes on the way down and control the ball all at the same time? I have no clue - truly amazing!
As far as the Cardinals go, they aren't the cutest players in the NFL, but the "BEST BUTTS" award goes to the entire team especially to non-cute Larry Fitzgerald #11! I was impressed by them the entire season and congratulations on even making it this far!

Women’s Intuition or Gut Feeling?
Do you believe it? Do you trust what it’s trying to show you? There have been plenty of times when I wanted to believe that mine was mistaken, but it hasn’t failed me yet! It seems to me that my intuition is trying to show me what my head knows but my heart doesn’t want to recognize.
It’s not only in the case of say,the feeling you get when your man is cheating on you, but it’s with anything! I can feel when the electric bill is on the way and it’s too high, I can feel when something is going to go wrong on the car, I can usually feel when something bad is going to happen. It’s not only the bad things though, but its funny those are the ones that stick out in my mind.
Is women’s intuition the same as “First mind is always right?” Not exactly… Is “Gut Feeling” the same as “Intuition”? I guess so, you can call it that. It’s the feeling you get in the pit of your stomach, usually when something isn’t right. Oprah says that God speaks to you in a whisper and she says to trust “the feeling”.
I love this article by Rabbi Ritchie Moss. He writes –

I love this article by Rabbi Ritchie Moss. He writes –
Why Men Aren’t Blessed With Women's Intuition
QUESTION: Recently you wrote that women are relationship beings and men are loners. Well if women are such relationship experts, why can't my wife communicate clearly and just say what she means?
It was her birthday yesterday, and when I mentioned it last week, she said: "Don't you dare do anything for my birthday!" So I didn't.
Now she won't speak to me. I did exactly as she said and I'm in trouble! Am I missing something?
ANSWER: Yes, you are missing something. It's called women's intuition. Your wife has it, and you never will.
Men are literalists, women are intuitive. It's been that way since the beginning of time.
It all started with Adam and Eve. When G-d told Adam: "Do not eat of the fruit of knowledge, because if you do you will die", he took it literally.
But Eve read between the lines. She understood that when G-d says don't eat, he really means: "Eat, but I didn't tell you to."
Eve sensed that G-d wanted humans to experience mortality and fallibility and wanted them to know both good and evil, but he didn't want to force it on them he wanted them to choose it.
She used her intuition to uncover what G-d really meant. That's why she ate of the fruit.
Eve acted intuitively because that's how she was created. The verb used to describe G-d creating Eve was "Vayiven", which literally means G-d built Eve, but can also be translated as "G-d endowed Eve with intuition".
She was given an additional insight to be able to read between the lines, and understand what lies behind the words people say.
To this day women possess this ability, to intuit hidden messages and sense what is below the surface.
And sometimes they mistakenly expect others to have this insight too.
When your wife told you she doesn't want anything for her birthday, she thought you would hear not her words but her inner intention.
What she meant was, "I don't want to tell you what I want for my birthday, I want it to come from you”.
But being a man, not blessed with women's intuition, you took her on face value, and did as she said: nothing.
Women's intuition is a wonderful gift, but your wife will have to learn that you simply don't have it.
Her female friends might know exactly what she means even when she doesn't say it, but you, her husband, will only ever hear what she says and act accordingly.
You must let her know that you may never learn to read her mind, and teach her to say exactly what she means and give you clear instructions.
This is not because you are not in tune with her, and not because you don't love or understand her. It is because you are a man. And that's all you need to be.
Let me know what you think…
Juan Williams on The O'Reilly Factor
What is Juan Williams talking about? I’ve never once heard Michelle Obama say anything negative about America. Have you? “… blame America. I’m the victim..” What are they talking about? Did something happen that I’m unaware of? In listening to Michelle’s speeches, I’ve never once heard her talk badly about America. Mary Katherine Ham also stated that "[S]he's got to not drop sound bites like she did during the campaign that were not helpful to her husband, because, frankly, if you want to be an unpleasant, heavy-handed first lady, you're going to -- well, you'll end up like Hillary Clinton.” End up like Hillary Clinton? What? End up being Secretary of State? Okay, I don’t see anything wrong with that! This is the first show I've seen that Bill O'Reilly wasn't an ass! Yes, he asks the tough questions that everyone wants to know the answers to, but there are ways to do that without being an asshole!

Family Trajedy
Holly-ism: “A lot of people find themselves on slippery slopes. But the first step on a slippery slope isn't as slippery as the avalanche at the bottom!”
That is so true! Have you ever found yourself in a situation that is totally spiraling out of your control and you have little, if any, power to stop it on your own? Oftentimes you need help from others to stop this from happening, but how do you get the courage for that?
I guess this is what happened to a family in Wilmington, California who found their situation spiraling out of their control and the father decided to kill his entire family including himself! Is this what this world is coming to? Both of the parents had lost their jobs and were already behind in their mortgage payments. Was this the only way out though? They had 5 children, two sets of twins: Brittney – 8, Jaszmin – 5, Jassely – 5, Benjamin – 2, and Christian – 2! (May they rest in peace!)
Are things really this bad in America that instead of asking for help we end it all? Was every avenue traveled? I guess we will never know, but I can’t help but to think that maybe he wanted to take his family out anyway and decided to blame this on the economy. He faxed suicide notes to the TV stations saying that him and his wife made this decision, but did they discuss this? Maybe he is blaming her to cover his own guilt, which is why he decided to kill himself too…
I don’t know, I’m just as much in the dark about this as everyone else, but the kids are who I feel for and the rest of the family members feeling the pain right now…
